The THEMIS project is a pioneering initiative led by the General Secretariat for Civil Protection (GSCP) in Greece, funded by the European Commission. Its core purpose is to enhance disaster preparedness and risk awareness among tourists visiting Greece, a country highly exposed to a variety of natural hazards including earthquakes, forest fires, floods, and tsunamis.
